(More customer reviews)I like that this piece is a solid pewter casting. It has a nice solid feel to it and it looks like it should stand up to the elements. I hope the orange and maroon colors hold up to the sun without fading too much.
Installing the hitch cover was a bit more work than I had expected. There are two different sets of aluminum brackets for mating to different hitch receivers. I have a 2" receiver so I bolted those brackets on. There is a piece of foam that acts as a bumper between the receiver and the emblem. I could not get holes to line up with the holes in the receiver. The first set of holes on the bracket were a bit too close and the second set had the cover sticking too far out of the receiver. I ended up having to fashion a spacer between the brackets and the hitch cover using the other set of brackets. This allowed just enough room for me to get the holes lined up and get a snug fit on the first set of holes.
Perhaps the holes on my hitch receiver are in a weird location, but I wouldn't think so.
